The entire plastic profile is highly resistant to abrasion.
The unique design prevents slider detachment.
The hinge structure ensures an increase in tightness as pressure, or transverse tension, increases: both situations generate high mechanical pressure on the upper contact surface.

Estate

The Ringseal version withstands (laboratory test) up to 500 mbar pressure (air) for the chain part.
The plastic closure cover is waterproof but the pressure seal is not evaluated.

Dust or sand

The hinge is highly resistant to damage caused by dust or sand; however, in the presence of dust or sand, it is suggested that the hinge be cleaned with liquid soap and water or other mild detergents.
Dust grains, which are present in the spiral profile, may affect the watertight seal.
If the hinge is used to protect sensitive materials, frequent cleaning and careful inspection before each use is essential.

Lubrication

No hinge is lubricated beforehand. However, lubrication is essential to maintain the ease of use and perfect fit of the chain.
After installing the hinge to the product, it is recommended that the entire chain be lubricated and the slider run from end to end, at least 5 times in both directions.
“Acid free” lubricants, greases and oils can be used.
Initial lubrication on the entire chain is essential.
If the chain appears dry, the user should lubricate the hinge periodically (approximately every 10 uses).
It is recommended that the user consult the instructions and use the lubricant supplied with each hinge.
Lubrication of the outer surfaces, allows for better handling of the slider.

Operations

To ensure watertightness, the hinge, in moving the slider, requires slightly more force than that used for standard plastic hinges. In case the profile surface is lubricated or wet, the slider will be more manageable.

Stability

The performance of the hinge in terms of strength and durability is of a high standard. It withstands sudden weight loads, abrasion and withstands short bending and twisting.
Closed the hinge resists transverse pulls of 300 N/cm. In case of accidental opening due to excessive tension, return the slider to its initial position, reduce the tension on the spiral, and close the hinge again.
The hinge is not damaged by this procedure.
If accidental opening of the hinge occurs up to the lower end, the first 2 centimeters of the spiral will have to be assembled by hand before returning the slider to its initial position.

• Zipper length: the zipper is measured including fasteners. To find the chain size subtract about 2 cm.

Testing

The waterproof capacity of the zipper is tested by arranging the zipper on a horizontal rectangular frame.
The inner part of the zipper is submerged while the outer part is pressurized with air.
The test is passed if no air bubbles are evident for at least 20 seconds.
Sample tests are carried out during production in each batch.

Description

The TIZIP RINGSEAL is a circular MASTERSEAL 10, produced by assembling a strong plastic spiral to a high-strength profile, welded onto polyurethane tape. Each part of the spiral is inserted and well secured in a plastic profile. When the hinge is closed, the outer and inner surfaces are compressed for a perfect seal.
