Double-lined neoprene has liners on both sides, providing an ideal balance between durability and flexibility. Ideal for sports such as recreational diving, snorkeling, surfing, sailing, and surface water sports where abrasion resistance and flexibility are critical. Thanks to the double lining, they are easy to wear and protect the neoprene from tears, scratches and wear. While slightly less warm at the same thickness as open cell wetsuits, they offer good thermal protection for recreational diving.

Single-lined neoprene has only one lining on one side, leaving the other side of the neoprene exposed. This configuration is especially popular in activities such as spearfishing, freediving, and swimming, where weight reduction and high elasticity are priorities. The unlined side of the neoprene fits the body better, allowing more freedom of movement and a more direct feel with the water.

Unlined neoprene, also known as “naked” or “smooth skin” neoprene, is used primarily by experienced athletes seeking maximum drag reduction andsuperior hydrodynamic efficiency.
